Young Portfolio 2024 Call for Entries

Dear passionate photographers aged 35 and under! Submit your work online. It’s free. If you pass the preliminary screening, you have to submit prints next. This is a great opportunity to have your work purchased and included in a museum collection!

A while back, I visited Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts (KMoPA) in Yamanashi prefecture to see the photo exhibition “2023 Young Portfolio Acquisitions”. It was a beautiful and calm place located in a natural ambience and I enjoyed seeing lots of stunning works of young photographers and photo books. I absolutely loved it! I blessedly had a chance to talk with Ms. Ogawa, who is an operation manager of the museum. She’s a very kind, generous and pleasant person who loves music. We talked about Toto, Night Ranger, John Lydon, David Byrne, Brian Eno, etc. 

Leaving that aside, let’s get down to today’s subject. She told me “The submission for Young Portfolio is open for everyone under 35 across the globe. We have an English entry form. However, most of applicants are still Japanese. WE’D LOVE TO SEE MORE TALENTS FROM VARIOUS COUNTRIES. Could you spread this your photographer friends around the world?” I said “Sure!” That’s why I’m writhing this. 

Actually, it’s very rare that our prints are purchased and collected permanently by a museum. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity if you are under 35! Please feel free to share your timeline/blog/photographer community on Facebook/social media.
